Enterprise account management

To upgrade your account to the Enterprise plan:

1. Contact the sales team to get an activation code.
2. Go to Change subscription plan, select the Enterprise plan, and enter your activation code.

You can use domains in your Insomnia Enterprise account to manage users.

To create a domain:

1. Go to Enterprise Controls > Domains and add a new domain.
2. Add the generated TXT record to your DNS tool.
3. Click Verify Domain.

Once the domain is verified, you can configure its settings to control users with email addresses in that domain.

Domain capture

Domain capture allows you to consolidate all Insomnia accounts in a specific domain into your Enterprise account. To enable domain capture:

1. Add and verify a domain.
2. In the domain settings, click the toggle to enable domain capture.

Domain capture can only be enabled on a verified domain.

Once domain capture is enabled, when a new user creates an Insomnia account with an email address in the domain, the user will be added to the enterprise account automatically.

Domain lock

Domain lock allows you to disable access to your Enterprise account for:

• Existing Hobby users in the domain
• Uninvited users in the domain

To enable domain lock, go to your domain settings and click the toggle under Lock.

Invite control

Invite control allows you to specify domains that are allowed to be invited into your Enterprise organizations.

To configure invite control, go to Enterprise Controls > Invites and define the rules to apply to your organizations.

You can allow invites to all domains, to verified domains only, or to specific domains only.

In Enterprise Controls > Storage, you can manage storage options for organizations and personal workspaces.

By default, all storage options are available. You can enforce storage options for all personal workspaces and organizations, but you can also set different storage options for each organization.

The owner of an Insomnia Enterprise account can invite other users to be co-owners of the account.

To add a co-owner:

1. Invite the user to your an organization in your Enterprise account.
2. Once they have accepted the invitation, go to Enterprise Controls > Co-owners, search for the user’s email address and select a role, then click Invite.
